Ucrete® HF

Ucrete® HF is a three-component, polyurethane-cementitious, floor system designed for application to concrete and various other substrates to protect them against chemicals, abrasion, impact and thermal shock. This troweled, monolithic, flooring system will tolerate a wide range of organic and inorganic acids, alkalis and salts. Ucrete® HF can be used on new concrete substrates or badly damaged floor surfaces that have been exposed to contamination for many years. Ucrete® HF floors are extremely strong and in most cases, have physical properties which are approximately double that of concrete. Ucrete® HF will yield excellent results when installed from 1/4th (6mm) to 3/8th (9.5 mm) of an inch or greater.

Application

Ucrete® HF is ideal for applications, interior or exterior, when severe conditions such as high impact pressure, thermal shock and chemical exposure is expected. The thermal stability and chemical resistance of Ucrete® HF makes it excellent for use in meat, poultry and dairy plants, bottling facilities, pharmaceutical plants, commercial kitchens and restaurants, freezers and refrigerated storage, particularly where steam or hot water is required for cleaning. This flooring system will also perform excellently in pulp and paper, chemical processing and waste water treatment. While the most common substrate is concrete, this flooring system may also be applied over other substrates.

Chemical Resistance

The Ucrete® HF Flooring System will resist spillage of and exposure to for up to seven (7) days at 72°F as per ASTM D-1308 the following chemicals.

Dilute mineral acids including Hydrochloric(<35%) , Phosphoric(<50%) and Sulphuric(<30%)

Alkalis, including potassium hydroxide to 50% concentration.

Some dilute organic acids such as acetic (30%) formic, citric acid and urine

Fats, oils and sugars

Mineral oils, diesel fuel, kerosene and gasoline

Most Organic solvents, including aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and alcohol

Note: Full chemical resistance is achieved after curing for seven (7) days. For chemical resistance to a specific compound consult the Chemical Test Data Sheets specific to this flooring system.

Performance Design

Ucrete® HF is and independent system designed primarily to be a one application step product. Variation in the thickness will affect the thermal and impact resistance of the product. Thickness of 1/4th (6mm) of an inch to 1/2 (12mm) of and inch are recommended, with the thicker system providing the highest level of thermal and impact resistance. Also available is Ucrete® WR designed to aid in building vertical surfaces such as cove bases.
